Starting with youth tournaments in the Easter holidays of the years 2014 and 2015, the NFI Youth tournament was transformed into a Big Youth Football rendez-vous in the seasons 2016/2017 and 2017/2018, forcing the youths of the city to name it their "Champions League". This is the reason that we stopped referring to the events as Tournaments, but rather Championship. The Championship which in its peak saw up to 7 teams per category (U12, U14, U16, Cadet and Female teams) could be seen as the catalizing factor that saw the creation of many youth football clubs in the town. Everyone wanted to be a part of this. The games lasted months, the rewards were amazing and the atmosphere of the finals was always like a real Champions league.

With the advent of the Anglophone crisis in the region, we were forced to stop the competition. There is a high demand for us to start it again. We have this under consideration
