Coach/Trainer/Manager - Joseph Ndoke

Joseph Ngoh Ndoke holds several positions in the Nkamanyi Football Initiative. He is currently the deputy technical director of the institution, head of the youth Academy and main coach of the NFI Sky Boys and Sky Girls teams. He has been with the Nkamanyi Football Initiative (NFI) now for over 5 years. In this period, the NFI can look back to countless achievements. Let us start with the first and most impactful of his achievements. On instructions of the Initiator, he cultivated the boys in the youth academy and prepared them for adult football, while assuring the flow of talents bottom up. In this regard, within one year of introducing the NFI Sky Boys into the Meme departmental league, he was able to qualify the team into the South West Regional League.

In the second year, he qualified the Sky Boys as Meme department representative into the South West Mini Interpools. Last year he was unable to qualify the team into the mini interpools due to technical point reductions after having led the meme divisional league for a longue period. He has great ambitions to take the team again this year into the mini interpools. With the NFI, he has also qualified the team up to the 16th finals of the Cameroon cup.

In addition to his successes with the NFI Sky Boys, with him, we were able to assemble a group of girls from all around the South West into the NFI Sky Girls. These prolific girls became South West Regional champions in 2021. The team played a national playoff game against Authentic FC of Douala to find the team that would go into the Female division 1 championship. The loser of this game (NFI) was to play in the nationale Elite 2. Unfortunately until today no mention was made about that decision and the team was unable to recover. Coach Ndoke has not given up and is still building his team.

At the youth department level , the NFI U15 and U17 have been a force to reckon with within the region. He qualified the NFI U15 Youths as South West Champions in 2021 and went on to play the national competition with the NFI U15 finishing 4th in the country.

Prior to joining the NFI, Ndoke has had coaching experience with several clubs. After resigning from competitive football, Ndoke still wanted to remain in the game. So he started by working as an assistant coach in Bello (North West) before creating the Kanjease Football Academy , grooming young talented players, some of whom are making their way into professional football like Mukwelle who has played for the national U16 and now is preselected with the national U23 of Cameroon. With his academy, he won several competitions in the town of Kumba, amongst others , the prestigious NFI Champions League. He was also the coach of Trevisio Kumba. He gained the admiration of the Nkamanyi Football Initiative 5 years ago and since then has been a key pillar of the club.

Joseph Ndoke did not just appear from the blue. He comes with a lot of experience as a player.

Prior to becoming a trainer, he had the following football path:

  • 1992/1993 - Top Tarzan Mutengene
  • 1993/1994 - Gold Fasl Kumba
  • 1994/1995 - PWD Kumba
  • 1995/1996 - Elecsport Limbe
  • 1996/1997 - Remane of Bamenda
  • 1999/2000 - Menchum Eagles
  • 2000/2001 - Bamenda Rangers
  • 2002/2003 - PWD Bamenda
  • 2004/2005 - Melano Kumbo
  • 2006/2007 - Federal Foumban

He was forced to end his career due to injury.

Coach Ndoke has just one wish, give young people the possibility to learn and excel.
